Women's Soccer: Offense Stays Hot Against Hiram

ALLIANCE, Ohio –- Mount Union's women's soccer team tallied its third consecutive shutout with a 2-0 win over Hiram College.

Maggie O'Donnell (Avon) and Lauren Beech (Hanoverton/United Local) each netted goals while Michelle Kissane (Amherst/Steele) grabbed eight saves for her third shutout in goal as the Purple Raiders improved to 3-2 on the season.

Hiram dropped to 0-6 with the loss.

O'Donnell scored her second goal of the season in the 30th minute as she tucked away a ball that was unable to be cleared in the box.

Beech continued the Raider scoring as she scored 29 seconds into the second half.

Kissane stood tall in net making eight saves for her third shutout victory.

Mount Union stays home hosting Chatham (Pa.) Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.
