NORFOLK, Va. -- Both Mount Union men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned Scholar All-American Team honors and three Purple Raiders received individual recognition from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
Mount Union's men's team had a 3.25 combined cumulative grade point average while the women's team checked in with a 3.60 combined gpa.
The Purple Raiders were one of only two Ohio Athletic Conference institutions to have both men's and women's teams honored.
Three swimmers earned individual Scholar All-American honors for having above a 3.50 grade point average.
Junior Dana Lautenschleger (Solon/Solon) earned first team honors for meeting the gpa requirement and swimming in the NCAA Championships while sophomore Regina Saxon (Hudson/Hudson) and senior Tyler Moore (Amherst/Steele) are honorable mention selections who along with the gpa swam at least one "B" cut time in at least one event.
