2019 Mount Union Football Guide

The 2019 Ohio Athletic Conference Football Media Day will be held Tuesday, August 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Mount Union is in search of its 30th OAC title and record 13th NCAA Division III National Championship. A year ago, the Purple Raiders won the OAC title and advanced to the national championship game -- the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl for a record 21st time.

At the media day, each of the OAC's 10 head coaches will give a preview of their team's upcoming season, while a student-athlete from each institution will take a couple of questions at the podium from conference commissioner Tim Gleason.

Vince Kehres, in his seventh year as a head coach, and senior defensive lineman and team captain Andrew Roesch (Avon) will represent Mount Union at the podium.

After lunch the conference's preseason media and coaches polls will be announced followed by coaches and players being made available for one-on-one interviews.

The OAC Bill Nichols Media Service Award named in honor of the long-time Cleveland Plain Dealer writer will also be presented to Mark Znidar, who spent 33 years covering the OAC for the Columbus Dispatch.

The Raiders first practice is Thursday, August 15, photo day on campus is Saturday, August 24 at 8 a.m. at Mount Union Stadium.

Members of the media should contact Lindsay Miller (lrickel@oac.org) for more information.
