Men's Golf: Three Scores in the 70's Put Raiders in 5th at Gatorade Intercollegiate

DOVER, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's golf team posted three scores in the 70's to sit in fifth place after day one the Gatorade Intercollegiate Saturday at Zoar Village Golf Course.

Senior Matt Eddins (Louisville) carded a team-best 75 to stand in seventh overall while freshman Ian Smith (Cambridge) and sophomore Eric Summers (Dalton) each posted a 76 and 77 respectively to lead the Purple Raiders.

Junior Jacob Feldner (Cambridge) rounded out the team score with a 81 as Mount Union had a 309 on the day to sit five shot back of fourth place Capital. Baldwin Wallace leads the event with a team score of 295.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Sunday.
