Men's Soccer: #14 Mount Union Loses Top 25 Match-Up

ALLIANCE, Ohio—No. 14 Mount Union's men soccer team was defeated 2-1 in overtime Wednesday night against No. 16 Penn St. Behrend.

This being the first loss at home for Mount Union since October 28th, 2017.

Penn St. Behrend (8-0) got on the board first in the 18th minute.

Mount Union (6-1-1) found an answer in the 27th minute on a rocket of a shot from senior Ben Hobrath (Brunswick / CVCA) to tie the game up before halftime.

The second half featured multiple shots from both teams as both goalies stood tall to keep the second half scoreless.

Penn St. Behrend found the game winner in the 100th minute.

Mount Union now starts conference play on the road Saturday, October 5 at 2 pm at Otterbein.
